92 Degrees on a Flatbed

Amy got our praise band a place to serve on this lovely Saturday.  The Salvation Army Church was throwing a neighborhood party and wanted some musicians on a flatbed truck.  I am so thankful that they picked it on a day that is supposed to get up to 92 degrees!  That means I got to sweat five pounds off!

We had a great time just getting to worship together.  We actually had a nice shade.  It was a joy to serve the Church today in our town (notice the big “C”).  As a church praise band, it is always great to serve the Church.  We are the Body of Christ and we all have the same mission – to seek and to save the lost.  We had a fun time doing it.  Keep at it Salvation Army Church – you guys are doing a great job being Christ’s hands and feet!

With seven of us on that flatbed, it was a little tight, we had to share some microphones, and do some on the spot arrangements.  But I am so thankful to serve with a crew that can do it and doesn’t complain or need certain arrangements to lead in worship.  They live it through their lifestyle.

North Side praise band, it’s a joy serving with you.

  1. Neat to hear about your praise in the community outreach. Music adds to the Message getting across and lifting up. Praise the Lord. A Major in Vancouver, Canada.
