Making Major Adjustments

Yesterday, we finished our 12-week Experiencing God series at North Side.  It was a great finish to a great series, even if I haven’t heard the message yet (I was working on getting power for our bluegrass band at the YMCA).

Yesterday, our church was truly offering sincere worship to Jesus in all morning long.  The songs that you sang your head off on were:

  • On Our Side – Chris Tomlin
  • Salvation is Here – Hillsong United
  • Center – Charlie Hall
  • Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) – Chris Tomlin

(One of those songs is going to be on our upcoming worship CD – which is about to be sent off…)

It was so amazing to hear over the last twelve weeks all that God did in the lives of our church through the study Experiencing God.  Hundreds from the church walked through the devotional study, listened to messages, discussed in C-Groups, and grew a ton!

I am already so excited about next week.  If you want a picture of where God is taking our church, you don’t want to miss next week (and the following for that matter, then the five after that are pretty important – basically, don’t miss Sundays)!  We are getting ready to see some amazing stuff happen in our midst.

It was also great yesterday to celebrate Jeff’s 10 years at North Side.  We threw a surprise party for him yesterday after church.  Sandy got him in the truck and had to tell him why they were going to the YMCA instead of home, but up to that point, he didn’t know what was going on.  John and Cory did a great job working on the gifts.  Rest of our staff all had tasks from cooking to getting the New Dixie Storm bluegrass band, to everything in between, and it was a great time to celebrate all that God has done through Jeff the last ten years.  I’ll post some pictures soon!
