Chapter 15: The Will (Freshman 15 Snippet)

Here’s a snippet from Chapter 15: The Will:

When I worked on an assembly line one summer during college, I learned the significance concerning quotas.  Each Monday morning, I would put my gloves and goggles on, and I would receive a quota of bottom sashes for skylights that needed to be completed by Friday.  If I could not produce the quota of skylights, I put other workers behind or had the possibility of  having to work on that Saturday.  We did not receive a new quota until the first quota was done.  All I had to worry about was the number that had been given me by my boss.  It would have been foolish to ask my boss if I could work on next week’s assignment when this week’s had not been completed yet.  I didn’t get a new assignment until I had completed what had already been given me.

God’s will is a lot like that.  Most college students eagerly seek to discover God’s will concerning a job or a mate, but they fail to realize that God has already given them assignments that they have not yet completed.  Why would God give you a new assignment if you have not completed the ones he has already given you?

Leading up to the time around when I get to release Freshman 15, I wanted to provide you a snippet every day for 15 days at 15:00 in the afternoon.  That was chapter 15.  Book snippets done.  I plan on having the official word on the release date within a couple of days.  Stay posted!
