Christmas in July

That’s right people – it is officially Christmas in July.  I have been spending some time with the band and in the studio doing some pre-production for a North Side Christmas album!  We have not nailed down the complete list just yet, but we are getting closer.

The album will have half full band tracks and the other half will be more stripped-down acoustic numbers.

We have finalized the band tracks and already recorded a scratch guitar and vocal on them.  Those songs are:

  1. Joy to the World
  2. Angels We Have Heard on High
  3. Go Tell It on the Mountain
  4. Offering
  5. O Holy Night

Pray for us as we are picking out the last few songs and thinking about order, instrumentation, etc.

Around the Agnew household, everyone has been getting involved.  Obie and I were trying out arrangements for “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus” yesterday afternoon.  He was actually playing and singing at the same time.  But he did venture out of the key a couple of times – still working with the little guy – he’ll get there:

  1. I agree – this is one of favorites – In fact every Christmas I always sang this song for our church
