Eternity: More Than You Can Imagine

We concluded the “True[ish]” series today with the service focusing on “Eternity: More Than You Can Imagine.”  These last two months we have focused on essential doctrines of the church.  The time has been a great investment in ironing out the theology for members of our church.

Heaven and hell are real.  We must live knowing we are preparing for heaven but we must reach out to people because we believe in the reality of hell.  Our goal is to take as many people as possible to the throne of glory.

Today, we worshiped to:

I anticipated the worship portion of this service for a long time.  Our people always get their bluegrass faces on when we bring out a hoedown.  The bluegrass celebration at the end was so much fun!  I have also been anticipating introducing “Cielo” to our congregation for a long time.  It is one of the best written songs I have ever heard.  That song has almost caused me to wreck numerous times because it just overwhelms me each time I hear it.  “I can’t sing loud enough…I can’t bow low enough…I can’t reach high enough.”

That’s my take on it – great day!  Give me your thoughts on the day or the overall series.  What did God show you?

  8. Travis, Thanks for the great worship in music yesterday! Once again, thought we were going on up to Heaven! It was awesome! However, I did think you were going to jump off the stage a couple of times! Your love for the Lord is quite evident and contagious! Thanks again for a wonderful day!!
