Favorite Book? Scariest Book?

1 Bible but it has 66 books in it.

You have your favorite.  Maybe it’s the simplicity of James or the poetry of Psalms.

But you also have the books you avoid.  Maybe your rule is – if you can’t pronounce it, you are scared to read it.

I want to hear from you: favorite book to read and scariest book to read.  Go!

  2. Favorite book is either Proverbs, Psalms, or Philippians. Scariest is Revelation – at least the part I can decip

  3. Philippians and Matthew at the moment. I don't know if there is a scariest. I want to read them all and I don't understand them all, but I don't find them scary; I find them interesting and I want to learn

  4. I like Mark Twain who said "It is not the parts of the Bible that I can't understand that scare me, it is the parts that I clearly understand that scare me." That being said favorite: too hard to say. Scariest, probably living out James or A

  7. John is without a doubt my favorite gospel because it has such an intimate feel to it. James is my favorite book outside of that because he's so blunt. My least favorite are all the Old Testament books that are just laws, laws, and laws. Not sure how many people have never read the whole Bible because they got bogged down in Levi

  9. Ephesians is my favorite, hands down. Scariest? I really love the Word of God, but I dread Leviticus when it comes around. Not really scary, just boring. Doesn’t mesh well with my ADD!
