Expected to Grow

What a great day as we concluded “Solitary Confinement.”

We’ve encouraged people to join community groups, but we’ve never really expected people to join.  If God expects us to grow, and he uses relationships to help us grow, then shouldn’t we make Christian relationships a priority?

Versus hyping people up today and trying to get them to join a community group, we decided to do something unthinkable: cut the service short and sign them up while they were all here!  Don’t get used to shorter services, though!  Jamie Parler, our Community Pastor, gave a short message that really drove it home.  God expects us to grow, and we grow in the confines of Christian relationships, so go sign up now!

The picture above shows what a really effective invitation looks like – giving people a specific, clear way to respond right then and there!  Praise God for the OVERWHELMING response!

The testimonies during “I Need You to Survive” also really drove the message home today!  Life change is happening all around us!

Today, we worshiped to:

If you didn’t say yes during the invitation today, it’s not too late to sign up for a group!  Or you can watch some of the service here.

  8. I missed the service as my mom died on Friday after a long fight with cancer and I am away, BUT I just listened to it and WOW. I wish I had my c-group friends here with me. I can see why people felt compelled to find a c-group that fits their needs. I have a sense that there is some great momentum going on at our church and we can't let it go away. I can't wait for the Overcome 10-10-10. God is always moving like Gina said in the hearts of people and am sure today was even more intense. c-groups should be like glue that holds people together in that one c-group and across therefore holding our church together. You may have heard about Laminin and maybe saw this video clip. Some people believe is the perfection of God's design for us, I do. Laminins are major proteins in the basal lamina, a protein network foundation for most cells and organs. Basically Laminins is what holds you (us) together. What about that. Copy and paste the link in your browser – is an 8 minute video and tell me what you think. Our God is amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_e4zg
