When I Die, I Want People to Remember That I Was…

I think about my funeral from time to time.  I wonder how people will remember me.  Will I leave a legacy or will I have just taken up space?  Will the world be any different from the time I spend here?

I want to hear from you.  Give me a one word response to this post:

“When I die, I want people to remember that I was…”

  1. That I let God use me even when it got hard…and I never gave up …I wasn't scared to be different…and that I was humble and gave god the credit for everything i did.

  3. one word is tough. "Christ-like" was first thought. but… "legit" kinda covers the basics of all things important.

  4. true. one word is almost impossible. that's why i used 2. steadfast comes to mind now that i think about it…

  5. That I let God use me even when it got hard…and I never gave up …I wasn't scared to be different…and that I was humble and gave god the credit for everything i did.

  6. It took a long time to learn that living a godly life is more of an example to others than talking a godly game. At least God never gives up on breaking us if we remove our pride and let him do His will, no matter where it leads. But I knew saying I would continue to praise God even in horrible times would earn me a test. It did. Yes, I cried. But I can at least say I praised God through the pain, and, in doing so learned my prideful belief that I was a godly man blinded me from seeing that I was only pious acting and not humble enough to be blessed with understanding of real godliness — living the belief.

  7. I don’t even want people to remember that “I was…” My prayer is for them to remember that HE IS!

  8. I ought to read instructions better. It said one word. Oops. Ok here: "Humbled."
