The Christmas Eve service at North Side has become one of my favorite times of the year. While we have had many memorable moments worshiping together in that room, this year’s Christmas Eve service may have been one of the most special.
I don’t think I have ever heard the volume from the congregation be as loud as it was tonight. It was a great crowd, but what I loved about it was their heart for worship.
Our prayer as a worship team was that people would not leave with a memorable experience or impressed by musical performances, we wanted people to stand in awe of Immanuel.
I don’t know about you, but I sure did.
As we prayed and planned for the service, the next passage of 1 Peter that was in line was a perfect focus for Christmas Eve, so we continued the series “Stand Firm.” A message on hospitality and love covering over sins, what could be more timely? I love it when God lines that kind of stuff up!
So thankful for all those who helped: communion servers, host team, tech team, band, singers, and the largest choir North Side has ever had. Everyone did great, and it was such an honor to worship with you.
