“What’s that ‘Beautiful’ Song?”

I have heard more questions about the song “Beautiful” the last two weeks at North Side than any other song in a long time.  Just so you know, I post the songs and artists each week on my blog so that you know how to get a song you like.

Phil Wickham wrote the song “Beautiful.”  I had heard him open up for David Crowder Band a while back, almost bought the CD, forgot to, and then I was reminded how great the song was when the Submerge band led it a few weeks ago.

Jeff told me that a lady called him yesterday who has been coming to North Side for the last few months.  She said that she woke up in the middle of the night with this song on her mind and decided to finally give her life to Jesus!  That’s pretty amazing!

Below is a video for the song and after the video is the lyrics to the song – enjoy!

“Beautiful” Lyrics:

I see Your face in every sunrise
The colors of the morning are inside Your eyes
The world awakens in the light of the day
I look up to the sky and say
You’re beautiful

I see Your power in the moonlit night
Where planets are in motion and galaxies are bright
We are amazed in the light of the stars
It’s all proclaiming who You are
You’re beautiful, You’re beautiful

I see you there hanging on a tree
You bled and then you died and then you rose again for me
Now you are sitting on Your heavenly throne
Soon we will be coming home
You’re beautiful, you’re beautiful

When we arrive at eternity’s shore
Where death is just a memory and tears are no more
We’ll enter in as the wedding bells ring
Your bride will come together and we’ll sing
You’re beautiful, You’re beautiful, You’re beautiful

I see Your face, You’re beautiful, You’re beautiful, You’re beautiful
I see Your face, You’re beautiful, You’re beautiful, You’re beautiful
I see Your face, I see Your face
I see Your face, You’re beautiful, You’re beautiful, You’re beautiful
