All In Sacrificially

It was great to be back at North Side this week.  Even with a congested voice, I was honored that you guys sang out and took the lead yourselves!

Songs:

  • Awesome is the Lord – Chris Tomlin
  • However Whenever Wherever – Travis Agnew
  • Beautiful the Blood – Steve Fee
  • Jesus Paid It All – Kristain Stanfill

As we continued in the series, “All In,” Jeff preached a fantastic message on service and volunteerism called “All In Sacrificially.” He spoke on a familiar parable, we know it as the parable of the Good Samaritan. The parable depicts the lives of the religious who refuse to get involved, who refuse to serve and give themselves to others. They are compared to one who gives his life away because of the need. Jesus says this is what loving one’s neighbor looks like. It is linked with loving God. Such love and service is what being “All In” looks like. Hopefully this service will inspire people to serve and give their life away.

So have you found a place in which you can serve?  If you didn’t get a copy, make sure you get the document, “Be His Hands” available at the information desk or the front desk.  It is full of places to get plugged into inside the church and within the community.  Get going!  However, whenever, wherever, we’re Yours!

Travis Agnew is married to Amanda and the father of two sons and one daughter. He serves as the Senior Pastor of Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. His most recent book is What God Has Joined Together.

  1. Hi Travis,

Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate and enjoy the worship that the praise band leads. You all do fantastic job–please pass this on to the other members as well—and know that every song you all sing truly speaks to my heart.

    Sincerely, Julie Gordy

PS—really liked the new song today!
