Focused Lighting

Great Sunday of being the church at North Side!  Today, we worshiped to:

It was the first time I have ever led worship in a cast, but I was so thankful to have such a wonderful supporting team who helped me to a stool and get my guitar and such.  For those of you who know me, you know I don’t ask for help often, so this next few weeks are going to stretch me in all kinds of way!  I did think I was going to jump off the stool a couple of times!

The music, tech, and host team all knocked it out of the park today!  Each week, all of these teams continue to get better and better and leading people in worship.  I loved the reading from Psalm 145 today, and the prayer time focusing on Eph. 4:1-7 of us living as the church was great.  I love focusing our congregation more on the Word and prayer – you can’t go wrong there!

Big Idea for Today: Focused Lighting (Eph. 4:1-16)
Each member of the Body of Christ shines their light wherever they go, but what could happen if a church truly united?  What type of focused lighting would that provide?  Jesus calls all believers to live in a spirit of unity that serves one another in the church.

What a great teaching from the Scriptures and so applicable to us all!  Are we: 1) promoting unity in the Body, and 2) using our gifts to grow the Body?  Take some time and think on those questions this week and make some application into your life!
