Ambassadors for Christ

We finished up our “Good News” series today as we focused on what it means to be ambassadors for Christ.

We started out our services by singing “Gloria” and “Come Lord Jesus (Wonderful Counselor).”

We then ordained Dick Williams into the gospel ministry.  It has been amazing to see all that God has done in and through his life in recent years.  He has just recently come on staff as our Discipleship Pastor.  It was great to be able to pray over him in our services.

We then sang the Pentatonix version of “Mary, Did You Know?”  I was so proud of how hard each of this crew worked on this piece.  We are blessed with some amazingly gifted and humble musicians at North Side who love to point people to Jesus.

I was reminded yet again of how blessed we are with such solid, talented, and godly worship leaders.

The Wolfes were then able to do the offering highlight all the way from Africa and it was great to see and hear from them!

We then sang a Christmas medley I came up with that is composed of “Joy to the World,” “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus,” “The First Noel,” and “O Holy Night.”  I love the fact that Jesus came to us.  And I love to hear our church sing out those truths.

Jeff’s message was honest and powerful.  We are called to be Christ’s ambassadors.  Even while God is sovereign over salvation, in his sovereignty, he has called us to proclaim the gospel in order that people may be saved.  He talked about how he is praying that this will be one of the areas our church grows in the most in the coming year.

I can’t wait!
