Today is our wedding anniversary. Amanda and I have been married for four years and counting! In some ways it has flown by and in some ways it seems like I can’t remember what it was like before we were married. Not that its been drudgery in any way, it just seems so right and I can’t remember what life was like before being married to her.
This year, I definitely have even more reasons to love her. Now she is not only the best wife in the world, but she is the best mom. I heard people talk about once the baby comes, it strains a relationship. The lack of sleep is hard – absolutely. But my love for her grew deeper in a way that I never thought it could. I thought I used to be hooked on her, now I’m a complete mess.
As we grow together, the thing I love the most about her is that she is like Jesus. More and more, every day, she strives to grow closer to the image of Christ. I am a better man because of her. I don’t know where I would be without her. Next to Jesus, she is the best thing that has ever happenned to me.
Now, its our anniversary. I’m going to take her out, and we’re going to get a meal Obie-free. Then we are going to make year five even better.
I can’t wait.
