On Sunday, we had week 2 of our Marriage by the Book series as we tackled the topic: “How to Change Your Husband.”
Ladies, rise up.
We did see a whole lot of ladies on Sunday. I think the way Jeff handled the topic was great. While our culture has distorted Scripture’s teachings on a woman’s role, what submission means, and how to love a husband, the reality is that if you truly want a marriage by the book (the Word of God), we must explore God’s teachings on marriage.
We worshiped to the following songs:
- All Things New – Travis Agnew
- Glorious One – Steve Fee
- Make Me Holy – Travis Agnew
- Center – Charlie Hall
It was such a great way to end the service. I loved having Amy, Peggy, Angela, and Jennifer lead you ladies in worship. There was something so powerful about having just the women worship and the men pray for them.
As I left the parking lot on Sunday morning, I prayed for the couples leaving. I figured that either couples had interesting conversations or awkward silences on the drive home.
I do pray that for the couples in our church that they are doing more than listening to these messages. I pray you are going home, working on some issues, and renewing your love for your marriage. It’s the best!

Travis Agnew serves as the Lead Pastor of Rocky Creek Church in Greenville, SC. His most recent book is Just (About) Married.
Sunday was a blessing to everyone in our home. Thanks!
Hi Travis,
We love your song,”All Things New”. Thanks so much for sharing it for our ladies retreat. It fit so perfectly with our theme and it is so amazing how God works isn’t it? Just to think that Tammy Wimmer chose the theme last summer and you wrote a song that fit so perfectly. You are so talented. I have so enjoyed watching you grow up and see how God has used you in so many ways.
Thanks again! I can’t stop singing your song.

Thanks everybody! It is such an honor to know how God is moving!
