Prayer for Easter Sunday

Easter is this Sunday.  Hopefully you have been thinking upon the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus a bunch.  I pray you get overwhelmed with it yet again.

But many people haven’t experienced the life that can be found in Jesus, and many of those people will go to your church this Sunday since it’s Easter.  So how can you help pave the way for them?  You can pray for them specifically.

Here’s my prayer this week:

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints”  -Ephesians 1:18

Pray that God turns on the light in people’s hearts this Sunday so they can know what it is to be a saint of God, to be his child.  Join me and praying without ceasing for these hearts from now until Sunday.  Remind yourself by drawing a lightbulb on your hand, every time you turn on a light, or put reminders throughout your house, whatever it takes – cover these next few days in prayers that hearts be enlightened by the gospel this Sunday!
