We started a 3-week series today at North Side entitled “Thankful.” We will be studying Colossians 1 and it is such a great passage and I thought today was full of powerful services. Starting each service out with baptism is always a great way to begin. Always so humbled to be a part of these moments as Christ changes lives among us!
I came into the 2nd service still dripping to help lead in worship, but it was worth every bit of it!
Today, we worshiped to:
- When I Think About the Lord – Jason Breland
- Sing to the King – Billy and Cindy Foote
- All to Us – Chris Tomlin
Powerful time of worship today with the band, vocalists, choir, and tech team! The church was singing out today. Such expression and sincerity – love it! With me running around with baptisms, we also had some techies get sick in the back, so it was a crazy morning for our volunteers, but everyone stepped it up and did great!
We were also blessed to have Scott Smith, Katie Troutman, and Audrey Neal Thompson update us on BCM work on the nearby college campuses! They did wonderful, and it is such a privilege to minister alongside this crew!
At the 11:00 service, Jeff was concluding the message and he looked at me and said, “I feel like singing, how much of the band is still here?”
I replied, “Enough.”
Jeff said, “I like it when Travis says ‘enough.’ Come on up here.”
Since some of our band sits through 9:30 and some 11:00, I didn’t know who was still hanging around, but I knew we had enough. God always provides plenty in his sovereign plan. It was a great way to close out that service.
