What They Didn’t Know We Do [Series: Stand Firm]
Scripture: 1 Peter 1:10-12
As believers, we can be encouraged by realizing we know things that neither the prophets knew or the angels know! With this knowledge, we can patiently persevere and follow the example of Christ who experienced glory after his time of suffering.
Parker Edison shared how God was using North Side to change his life during his time in college. It was so great to hear his perspective and to have him lead us in worship so well this morning alongside some other great folks. I loved telling the story of the scriptural passage for the day through the songs before Jeff preached. We do that every Sunday, but it just really connected well today in my perspective. The entire service was very Christ-focused and powerful to see his hand among us. In addition to some great time in worship, a wonderful message, the prayer time at the end was simply great. Just watching how God is working on so many hurting folks is amazing.
I have been repeating that line from Jeff’s message repeatedly today: “Suffering before glory.”
We had a great college lunch with a great group of students hanging out afterwards. Now, it’s on to NSU, discipleship group, and a practice time for next week’s Gathering services. Exciting times!
