The Presidential Election and Your Family

November 8, 2016

As Americans observe Election Day, here are some things to consider regarding how you react to the results in the presence of your family.

Main Points

  1. Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s but keep from Caesar what belongs to God (See Matt. 22:21).
  2. Never allow your politics to change your religion (see Ezek. 43:8).
  3. Don’t idolize or demonize a politician (see 1 Pet. 2:17).
  4. When you want to protest the president, pray for the president (see 1 Tim. 2:1-4).
