Bike for Bibles Recap

Bike for Bibles launched as a community-driven, charity cycling event designed to fund global Bible translation―one mile at a time. Riders signed up at $35 per mile, which equated to translating a verse into the Arbore language of Ethiopia. With a flexible, self-paced format culminating in a celebratory worship night in downtown Greenville on April 12, 2025, the initiative invited cyclists of all ages and skill levels to log miles, sponsor verses, and shine a light on the 985 languages still awaiting a translation of Scripture.

What started as a bold goal turned into an overwhelming display of generosity and mission-minded support. Through Bike for Bibles, we set out to raise $121,520 to complete the New Testament translation and launch the Old Testament project for the Arbore people of Ethiopia. Not only did we meet that goal — we exceeded it! With a total of $132,495 given, the New Testament is now complete and on its way to the Arbore. Even more exciting, the remaining $10,975 is being directed to help begin translation work for the Humbi people of Angola!

This campaign was far more than miles on a bike — it was a movement of faith. Every rider, donor, volunteer, and prayer partner played a vital role in putting God’s Word into the hands of people who have never had it in their heart language. The impact is eternal, and we’re humbled to be part of it. Thank you for riding along with us on this incredible journey. Lives are being changed because you cared enough to get involved.
