Both/And (Our Vision to Mobilize & Maximize)

At the heart of Rocky Creek is a deep commitment to the gospel, to community, and to the call of discipleship. As we step into a new chapter of ministry, we are driven by a bold vision: to Mobilize and Maximize. This campaign isn’t just about buildings or budgets—it’s about people. It’s about the Kingdom. It’s about making room for what God is doing among us and through us.

Over the last few years, our church has seen God move in incredible ways. Our average attendance has tripled, our family ministry spaces are reaching capacity, and some of our worship services are frequently over 80% full. We are also running out of space for Gospel Groups. Simply put—we can’t sustain another year of growth in our current facilities, and we cannot afford to continue and turn people away at the door.

But our vision isn’t limited to expanding our campus. It’s not about choosing either to expand facilities or to plant and support other churches—it’s both/and. That’s why we’re announcing the launch of a new church plant in Greer, led by Josh Phillips. While Josh and his family will be with us for the next few months, they will be preparing for a 2026 launch to reach a growing community with the gospel.

I am so excited about Josh’s heart for the Lord and his passion to shepherd people well. Greer already has several healthy churches, and our desire is to come alongside what God is already doing and help meet the increasing spiritual need as the population continues to surge in that area.

This church plant is a key part of our Mobilize and Maximize vision. Through the Recommission Network, Rocky Creek is currently helping three other churches revitalize and replant. With this new church plant in Greer and our own campus at Rocky Creek, five congregations will now be working together strategically to reach Greenville County with the gospel. This is not just our church growing—it’s the Church multiplying.

Over the next three years, we aim to mobilize every member to serve and strengthen the Church across our region. At the same time, we will maximize the potential of our own campus through necessary expansion. A new facility will provide the space we need to gather more people, equip more families, and disciple more lives.

This is not a shift in our mission—it is a continuation of a legacy. We stand on the shoulders of faithful saints who sacrificed to build the spaces we enjoy today.

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
– 1 Peter 4:10

Now, it’s our turn to give, go, and grow for the sake of those who come after us.

God is on the move in and through Rocky Creek. And as He leads, we will follow—with open hands and eager hearts. Stay tuned for how you can be part of this new church plant and how we can continue to mobilize and maximize for the glory of God.
