Rocky Creek isn’t building for comfort—we’re making room for people to encounter Jesus. As we launch the M2 initiative, we’re choosing to move forward with faith that is cautious but not timid.
At Rocky Creek, we’ve never been about building monuments—we’re about making disciples. And yet, we’ve reached a moment where the limitations of our physical space are impacting our ability to do just that. That’s why we’ve launched the M2 initiative: Mobilize & Maximize.
This isn’t about having a flashier building. It’s about making space for people to encounter Jesus.
Over the last seven years, our weekly attendance has tripled. That growth is something to celebrate, but it’s also brought challenges. On Sundays, families are driving onto our campus and leaving because they can’t find a parking spot or a seat to worship. Gospel Groups are full. Children’s classrooms are over capacity. Our building is bursting at the seams—not because of programming, but because people are hungry for truth.
Mobilize is about every believer taking personal responsibility for Kingdom work—serving in ministries, opening homes for Gospel Groups, attending alternate worship times, and partnering with church plants through the Recommission Network. We don’t want to be a church where people come to watch ministry happen; we want to be a church where everyone is on mission.
Maximize is our effort to expand wisely and steward faithfully. We’re planning additional parking, a new worship center, and more gathering spaces for students, children, and future generations. These plans aren’t about luxury—they’re about accessibility.
We’re fully aware that the times are strange. Construction costs are unpredictable. We don’t know what prices will do this year or next year—but we do know this: it won’t get any cheaper, and waiting indefinitely won’t solve the need in front of us. That’s why we are committed to being cautious but not timid. Faithful stewardship doesn’t mean standing still. It means moving forward with wisdom and trust.
God has been faithful to Rocky Creek for nearly two centuries. Farmers donated land during the Depression. Families sacrificed for buildings that would bless generations to come. Now it’s our turn. The M2 Project is about creating margin for ministry—not for our comfort, but for God’s glory.
Let’s mobilize. Let’s maximize. Let’s make room for the people God is already sending our way.
