Contemporary Issues Course: Navigating Culture with Biblical Clarity
Fall 2025 – Entrust Institute at Rocky Creek | North Greenville University

We live in a world of cultural confusion. Headlines shift by the hour, social norms are constantly redefined, and many Christians struggle to know how to respond with both truth and love. That’s why I’m excited to teach a course this fall through the Entrust Institute at Rocky Creek in partnership with North Greenville University called Contemporary Issues (CM 5335).

This course is designed to equip ministry leaders, students, and everyday Christians to navigate the most pressing issues of our time with biblical conviction and gospel compassion.

When & Where

What the Course Is About

Contemporary Issues explores topics like human dignity, sexuality, gender, identity, and technology—all through the lens of Scripture. We’ll ask big questions like:

  • What does it mean to be made in the image of God?
  • How do we disciple the next generation through cultural challenges?
  • How can ministry leaders speak clearly and compassionately about controversial issues?

Whether you’re leading a church, raising children, working in education, or just trying to be faithful in the workplace, this course will help you think theologically and live missionally.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of the semester, you will be able to:

  • Understand the biblical concept of being made in God’s image
  • Analyze today’s cultural issues in light of Scripture
  • Communicate biblical truth with clarity and grace
  • Create discipleship tools for real-life ministry challenges
  • Model a leadership posture of conviction and compassion

Who Should Join

  • Pastors and Ministry Leaders
  • Parents and Educators
  • College Students and Young Adults
  • Anyone who wants to stand for truth in a confusing culture

Whether you’re pursuing credit through NGU or auditing for personal growth, this course will challenge you to think deeply and live faithfully.

Final Word

I believe we need voices in our culture who are both bold and kind—people who won’t compromise truth or abandon grace. If that’s your desire, I invite you to join me this fall at Rocky Creek as we wrestle with the hard questions and find gospel clarity in a chaotic world.
