As we look ahead to 2026, our preaching plan is intentionally shaped around one central aim: to see Jesus more clearly and to follow Him more faithfully. The year will be anchored in an extended journey through the Gospel of Luke under the banner To Seek and to Save. Luke carefully records how Jesus pursued the lost, formed unlikely followers, and revealed a kingdom that turns our instincts upside down. Week by week, this series will press us beyond passive belief into active discipleship, calling us to repentance, obedience, compassion, courage, and daily dependence on Christ.
Along the way, we will pause in the Psalms to give voice to the realities we experience as we follow Him, including joy and grief, confession and confidence, wonder and weariness. Then, as Luke’s Gospel unfolds, the emphasis will sharpen from invitation to exhortation, participation, and prioritization. This is not a year designed merely to inform, but to transform. My prayer is that as we walk through these passages together, we will not only learn what Jesus said and did, but increasingly become the kind of people who reflect His heart, unhidden, unashamed, and fully committed to His kingdom purposes.
Luke: To Seek and to Save
Luke was transformed by receiving the gospel, and he labored diligently to communicate Jesus Christ’s life and lessons. As we study his account, we will discover how Jesus came to seek and to save.
