Luke 8:4-15 – Jesus told the parable of the sower to a large crowd. The seed of the gospel is never the problem; it is the soil that determines the harvest.

- A person can be close to the truth without ever being changed by it.
- The seed of the gospel isn’t the problem; it’s the condition of the soil.
- Sowers are responsible for the release of the Word, not the response to it.
- Some faith looks alive for a season but never lasts long enough to bear fruit.
Different Responses
- Hardened – Some people hear the truth without ever truly receiving it.
- Shallow – Some people respond emotionally but never develop roots deep enough to last.
- Distracted – Some people never reject Jesus, but they slowly replace Him with lesser things.
- Fruitful – Some people receive the Word deeply enough that it grows beyond them.
It’s tragic to hear so much truth and never become transformed by it.
