Now that we have made it through the first half of 2020, people are constantly asking – when will we get back to normal? I hate to break it to you, but I don’t think we are going to return to it, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing for your life, family, or church. It’s time to go the 2nd mile in the new church normal.

God has given every believer something valuable to contribute, and we glorify Him when we discover our gifts and faithfully use them to serve others.
Because Jesus came not to be served but to serve, His followers should gladly use their lives for others without needing position, recognition, or applause.
Biblical accountability requires more than finding trustworthy people to help us follow Jesus; it requires becoming the kind of gracious, truthful, and dependable friend who can help others do the same
Biblical accountability requires relationships where we are honest enough to be known and gracious enough to be safe. Through specific confession, prayer, intentional questions, and consistent conversations, we can help one another bring struggles into the light and pursue Christ more faithfully.
The people closest to you will inevitably influence the person you are becoming, so choose relationships that encourage you to pursue Christ more faithfully. Love everyone and minister to anyone, but make sure those with the greatest influence in your life are helping you move in the direction God has called you to go.
No Christian is strong enough to follow Jesus alone because sin is deceptive, and isolation only makes that deception stronger. God has graciously given us other believers to encourage, challenge, and help us persevere so that we continue growing in Christ together.
