We all have those words that we regret. That conversation we wish we could take back. But once our speech has left the dock, there is no return for them. While we can’t change the past, we can prepare for the future. It’s time to go the second mile in learning how to silence our speech.
Proverbs 17:27-28 – Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
- You don’t need to share everything you think.
- You don’t need to share everything you think to be wrong.
- You don’t need to share every detail.
- You don’t need to share every time you are upset.
- You don’t need to share unhelpful information.
- You don’t need to share gossip.
- You don’t need to share an incomplete picture.
