Discipleship [Entrust Institute]

We are starting a new course this summer, and you are invited! You can enroll in the Entrust Institute or get seminary-level credit through North Greenville with us on Sunday nights at Rocky Creek. Join us for Discipleship!

Discipleship and disciple-making are a vital part of the believer’s sanctification. Once an individual has repented of their sin and trusted Christ for salvation, the process of growing and becoming more like Jesus is paramount.

Course Description

Attention is given to the meaning and nature of discipleship and its relationship to disciple-making. Therefore, this course helps students understand what it means to be in a relationship with God through Christ (Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ – Ephesians 2:8-9) and the ongoing growth of that relationship, namely, discipleship. Students will also understand their role in helping others with their ongoing discipleship with Christ.

Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will be able to identify and express a proper definition of discipleship and its relationship to the local church.
  2. Students will recognize the qualities of a maturing relationship with Christ.
  3. Students will learn various disciplines and components that form discipleship and disciple-making.
  4. Students will consider different approaches to discipleship and will learn the various approaches to the disciple-making process.
