This week at FUGE Ridgecrest, we spent our time walking through one of the most beloved chapters in all of Scripture, Psalm 23, while tracing each truth to the life and ministry of Jesus as the Good Shepherd. We began by discovering that the Shepherd provides everything we truly need, then saw how He restores wandering sheep, walks with us through our darkest valleys, prepares us for a life beyond camp, and ultimately calls us to recognize His voice above every competing influence. Along the way, we also looked at Jesus’ encounters with the weary, the broken, and the overlooked, reminding students that no burden is too heavy, no failure too great, and no life too far gone for the Shepherd to redeem.
I am incredibly grateful for what the Lord has done this week. We witnessed students respond to the gospel, burdens surrendered at the feet of Christ, lives redirected toward faithful discipleship, and many challenged to take their next step in following Jesus. My prayer is that what God began at camp will continue long after the mountains fade into the rearview mirror, as these students learn to hear the Shepherd’s voice through His Word, follow Him faithfully, and help others find Him as well.
