Services started out with baptisms this morning! So wonderful watching these folks getting baptized and being reminded of how God is transforming lives around here!
We sang “Doxology” with a little instrumental intro. After that, we introduced a new song from “The Word” project entitled “Amazed.” The song focuses on the ministry of Jesus and people’s reaction to him. I was amazed at how it was the first introduction of the song and the energy and volume of people singing it back with us. Great start!
It was great to hear testimonies from Jeff, Jamie, Julie, and Adeola as they talked about what God did in Ghana.
We then sang “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” and “My Worth Is Not in What I Own.” Two great songs to get our heads geared for the Scripture that morning.
Jeff’s message was a great reminder of how blessed we truly are. We are all financially and spiritually blessed. We need to be mindful though not to let our possessions possess us.
To conclude our services, we sang “Take My Life.” What a prayer to sing: “Take my silver and my gold, not a mite would I withhold.”
So encouraged to see how the Word of God is changing lives!
